Innovative Power Products (IPP) has announced a new series of high-power 3-dB 90-deg. couplers with power-handling capabilities through 200 W CW. The highest-frequency member of the group is model IPP-2055, which operates from 2 to 6 GHz. It will combine two signals totalling 150 W CW power to a single output. The 3-dB hybrid coupler features insertion loss of less than 0.45 dB with better than 19 dB port-to-port isolation across the full frequency range. The amplitude balance is better than +/-1 dB while the phase balance is better than +/- 5 deg. The compact hybrid coupler measures 1.30 x 0.25 x 0.13 inches with solder tab connections.
