Single-Board Cameras Target Cost-Critical Industrial Applications

June 6, 2025
IDS expanded its portfolio of GigE uEye LE single-board cameras with models offering high image quality even in low ambient light.

Industrial image processing demands precision and reliability, even under difficult conditions. To help meet those needs, IDS Imaging Development Systems built out its portfolio of project cameras from the GigE uEye LE series. The space-saving cameras leverage Sony Starvis 2 sensors for high image quality even in low ambient light.

The GigE Vision-compliant single-board cameras, designed for high-volume applications, are suitable for cost-critical industrial projects. With the IMX675 (5 Mpixel), IMX676 (12.5 Mpixel), and IMX678 (8 Mpixel) sensor variants, IDS will soon be able to offer further high-performance options for a wide range of requirements.

Sony Starvis 2 sensors provide excellent light sensitivity, low noise, and an extended dynamic range for applications where the highest image quality is required, including difficult lighting conditions.
