Deal Pairs Anti-Jamming Software and AI RAN Tech

A partnership between ISCO and ODC combines the two companies’ advanced communications technologies to enable higher-performance 5G/6G wireless networks.

Multiple technologies may combine to serve multiple wireless users. Such is the goal of a partnership between ISCO International and ORAN Development Co. (ODC). By teaming the former’s anti-jamming and wireless interference management software with the latter’s artificial intelligence (AI) radio access network (RAN) technology, the partners hope to accelerate the development of 5G and 6G wireless/cellular systems and provide users with secure, mission-critical service (see image above)

The partnership promotes the software-defined-radio (SDR) technology, identified as a key ingredient in the growth of 5G/6G networks, with ODC’s RANIQ RAN platform at the core of the teamwork. ISCO’s Interference Management and Cancellation (IMC) software will provide necessary signal management for improved network coverage and increased signal throughput.

The companies are working with open system architectures (no single-vendor dependencies) to ease and speed the development of mission-critical wireless applications. 

Concerning the collaboration, Gordon Reichard, CEO of ISCO, explained, “Our partnership with ODC represents an important step toward strengthening resiliency and survivability of mission-critical wireless networks. As the wireless environment becomes increasingly contested and electronically challenged, the network infrastructure must be designed to maintain connectivity and operational integrity under real-world interference and jamming conditions."

He added, "By integrating ISCO’s IMC capabilities into ODC’s AI-RAN ecosystem, we are helping advance secure, intelligent, and resilient wireless infrastructure essential to national security, defense, and critical infrastructure.”
