A line of miniature microwave coaxial assemblies has been developed for a snug fit into small standard Size 20 contact cavities of subminiature D connectors, as well as Size 20 (and larger) contact cavities for standard MIL-DTL-38999 circular connectors. These miniature connector assemblies are designated model SSBP-20, and can be used interchangeably with noncoaxial assemblies. The coaxial assemblies are ideal for use in airborne, missile, space, and mobile communications applications. They can withstand the effects of vibration (tested to 2000 Hz vibration, random and sine wave, at +150C) and shock (tested to 100 g's force on three axes). The assemblies can be installed with simple plastic tools. The interface is 0.9 mm, permitting economic use from RF through millimeter-wave frequency applications. As with the company's other interconnection products, these assemblies are lead-free and RoHS compliant, with DFARS steel and raw material traceability.
