Three additions to a line of voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) offer tuning frequencies through 11.8 GHz for a variety of microwave radio and communications applications. Models MAOC-009871, MAOC-009872, and MAOC-010334 cover frequency ranges of 9.2 to 10.2 GHz, 11.0 to 11.8 GHz, and 8.40 to 9.25 GHz, respectively, with phase-noise levels of -113, -112, and -115 dBc/Hz, respectively, offset 100 kHz from the carrier. The three oscillators draw 185, 165, and 168 mA current, respectively, from a +5-VDC supply. They deliver at least +7 dBm output power from the main RF output port, and provide slightly lower power from a secondary output port. The oscillators are housed in lead-free, 5 x 5 mm, 32-lead PQFN packages.
