Designed to eliminate the use of multiple attenuator devices in attenuation switching functions, the MTAQ1225 multi-tap attenuator saves board space as well as inventory costs. The multi-tap attenuators are available with wire-bondable or solder terminations and measure 0.125 in. x 0.250 in. x 0.015 in.

Constructed using high-stability thick film resistor elements on alumina, these single-chip devices are available in four standard attenuation values of 1, 3, 6, and 10 dB. VSWR for all four values is less than 1.5:1, with attenuation tolerance of 0.5 dB or 10%, whichever is greater.

The multi-tap attenuator chip is suitable for low-frequency, multiple signal processing applications, providing multiple attenuation levels when used in combination with a high-frequency switch or a PIN diode. Customer specific applications can be accommodated, including optional high-reliability screening or custom testing.

Pricing for the MTA1225 multi-tap attenuators is under $1.90 each in production quantities. Delivery is stock to eight weeks.
