eCall Evaluation Solution Achieves EN 18052:2025 Certification
A Hybrid eCall evaluation solution developed by Anritsu has obtained the first European EN 18052:2025 certification, following testing by Cetecom Advanced. Leveraging the MX703330E eCall Tester, the certification confirms reliable end-to-end validation of
Hybrid eCall systems operating across 2G and 3G circuit-switched and 4G packet-switched networks.
Enabling automotive manufacturers and suppliers to more efficiently validate Hybrid eCall systems in line with European regulatory requirements, the solution supports robust
emergency call performance across mixed network environments. Hybrid eCall technology combines high-speed 4G (LTE) packet-switched communications with conventional 2G (GSM/GPRS)/3G (W-CDMA) circuit-switched networks, automatically selecting the optimal access technology to maintain emergency call continuity.
The all-in-one solution provides an integrated PSAP simulation environment for testing
Hybrid eCall-compatible in-vehicle systems (IVS). It includes the MD8475B Signalling Tester, the MX703330E eCall Tester, and the NG eCall and Hybrid eCall Software Option.
Streamlined Hybrid eCall testing enabled by dedicated software eliminates the need for separate multiple applications, validating seamless switching from VoLTE (Voice over LTE) calls using SRVCC (Single Radio Voice Call Continuity) to 2G or 3G networks.
