Portable Instruments Now Feature VNA and Vector Voltmeter Capability
Anritsu recently incorporated vector network analyzer (VNA) and vector voltmeter (VVM) measurement functionality to its industry-standard Site Master instruments. The latest iteration of the Site Master MS2085A and MS2089A, with the new VNA and VVM options added to the company's cable and antenna analyzer and spectrum analyzer, expands the applications that are supported. These include filter and amplifier testing in the field, maintenance of radar and antenna arrays, and airfield VOR and ILS navigation systems.
A ReadyCal option enables immediate operation along with exceptional calibration stability, reducing the requirement for repeated recalibrations in the field. Among its features are a measurement dynamic range in excess of 100 dB to facilitate the testing of filters and diplexers found in communication base stations, source power ranges from –45 to +9 dBm for amplifier test, and a sweep speed faster than previous generations to simplify alignment and tuning of devices.
The VNA and VVM options are available immediately, and existing instruments can be updated to include the new measurement capabilities.
