AR Modular RF has created a new 50-W RF power amplifier module that includes RF sensing transmit/receive (T/R) switching. Designed for the satellite communications (Satcom) band of 200 to 400 MHz, the amplifier performs transmit switching in only 40 ms and suffers receive path loss of only 0.7 dB. The amplifier module is supplied in an integral heatsink.
