The XpressO oscillator series now includes a 2.5-V LVPECL VCXO version covering 0.75 MHz through 1.0 GHz. By using a third-order delta-sigma modulator, these devices promise to reduce noise to levels that are comparable to traditional bulk quartz and surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) oscillators. The LVPECL VCXOs offer a frequency resolution to six decimal places, an absolute pull range of +50 ppm, and operating temperatures of −20 to +70C or −40 to +85C. These oscillators come in 5.0-x-3.2-mm packaging with an industry-standard footprint and pinout. They are fully RoHS-compliant, have a tri-state enable/disable feature, and are constructed with a gold-over-nickel termination finish. In addition, this series offers the company's serial identification system with comprehensive traceability to ensure quality control. The FVXO-PC52 oscillators are ideal for use in SONET, 10GbE, Fibre Channel, wireless repeaters, transponders, HDTV, FPGAs, data acquisition, and military communications. P&A: $3.16 each for the FVXO-PC52B XpressO VCXO oscillator at 250 MHz in 1000Q; 10 days for volume production.
