Designed for compact mobile-device applications, the 3216 ceramic planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) measures 3.2 x 1.6 mm and features a lowprofile fitting. This omnidirectional system supports a center frequency of 2.45 GHz. It delivers maximum gain of 2.84 dBi. The 3216 operates from 25 to +85C. It offers signal-transmission efficiency to 90 percent, which is almost on par with a traditional metal antenna. The PIFA is designed to isolate out environmental interference. Target applications include a Bluetooth headset, ultra-slim handset, and wireless mouse.
