The CP range of antennas is based on a common rubberized, low-profile "puck" design with a built-in central threaded mount. All CP antennas offer gain of 2 to 3 dBi for linearly polarized signals and are ground-plane independent. The 102-x-33.5-mm CP antennas are half-wave radiating elements with a power rating of 10 W. They are supplied with 1 to 3 m of cable terminated with an SMA-male connector. The CP antennas are screw-mounted, requiring a 20-mm hole. The cable exits on the underside of the antenna. Once mounted, it is completely enclosed, secure, and waterproof, held in place by a flanged nut that is tightened from underneath.

An example is the model CPT cellular antenna, which supports cellular and third-generation (3G) frequencies from 824 to 896 MHz and 1710 to 2170 MHz. This antenna suits North American machine-to-machine (M2M) and telemetry applications. Its sibling, the model CPO, is a 3G and GSM puck antenna with a frequency range of 870 to 960 MHz and 1710 to 2170 MHz. It targets metering, telemetry, and telematics applications that need a high-quality, discrete antenna. Finally, the model CPW is a dual-band antenna that covers 2.4 to 2.5 GHz and 4.9 to 6.0 GHz. It enables connectivity to 2.4-GHz devices as well as the whole 5-GHz frequency band. Model CPW is well suited for wireless-local-area-network (WLAN), Bluetooth, and ZigBee applications in which a discrete antenna is required but performance cannot be compromised. Suited for outdoor deployments, all CP antennas come in a rugged enclosure and can be specified with a chosen cable/connector configuration. Because the CP antenna platform is modular, the design can be modified to support any frequency from 800 MHz and higher including support for single band-specific applications. An optional stainless-steel wall-mount bracket is also available. CP antennas are available now from around $25.00 each.
