Phase Shifter Adjusts 18 GHz

July 25, 2014
A high-resolution phase shifter provides precise phase control of signals from DC through 18 GHz.

Model 9425B is a high-resolution phase shifter with built-in digital readout for applications from DC to 18 GHz. The digital readout is calibrated in 0.01-deg./GHz increments with accuracy of ±0.1 deg. The minimum phase-adjustment range is 30 deg./GHz or 180 deg. at 6 GHz. The maximum insertion loss is 0.5 dB through 8 GHz and 1.0 dB through 18 GHz. The maximum VSWR is 1.30:1 though 4 GHz and 1.60:1 through 18 GHz. The phase shifter, which has maximum insertion delay of 0.78 ns through 18 GHz, handles 100 W average power and 5 kW peak power. The rugged phase shifter is constructed of an aluminum housing measuring 3.75 × 1.875 × 1.812 in. with SMA female connectors.
