STI-CO Expands Cable-Assembly Capabilities for Defense

With overmold designs that enhance mechanical robustness, STI-CO is making a push into military markets for its cable assemblies.
March 5, 2026

With extensive capabilities in RF, power, and data wire and interconnect solutions, STI-CO Industries expanded those capabilities to better serve military requirements under harsh environmental conditions. The firm, based in Orchard Park, N.Y., produces a wide range of RF/microwave cable configurations and connector types for frequencies well into the mmWave range.

Working closely with customers, STI-CO also develops overmold designs that enhance mechanical robustness, meeting both low-volume and full-production schedules. The new development and manufacturing capabilities for cable assemblies and harnesses include full production testing well into the RF/microwave frequency range.

Cable assemblies are manufactured in the United States with full traceability. Manufacturing systems and processes are certified to ISO 9001 and AS9100D requirements, and cable assemblies are produced in conformance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements for applications where documentation, process control, and reliability are critical.

Kyle Swiat, President of STI-CO Industries, explained the move to higher-frequency cables and connectors: “Our focus is helping customers solve system-level integration challenges. By delivering RF, power, and data interconnect solutions with robust overmolding and sealing, we simplify installation, improve durability, and support reliable performance across long-life defense and industrial programs.”
