New VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers Boost Microwave Measurement Capabilities

Oct. 3, 2014
At European Microwave Week, Anritsu showcased a variety of new vector network analyzers (VNAs) and spectrum analyzers.

Single-sweep measurements provided by Anritsu’s latest VectorStar vector network analyzers (VNAs) range from 70 kHz to 145 GHz, and pulse-analysis resolution drops to as low as 2.5 ns. The broadband millimeter-wave systems, targeting microwave devices for communications, aerospace, military, security, and industrial applications, will be on display at European Microwave Week replete with an integrated probe station. The company will also showcase its new ShockLine VNA series. The PC-controlled instruments, designed for rack mounting on the production line, can be used to perform near-field antenna measurements and measurements of material properties.

Beyond its VNAs, the company will unveil its MS2830A spectrum analyzer, showing the use of its built-in signal generator in the capture and replay of live waveforms. It also creates and analyzes 100-MHz 5G waveforms using filter bank-based multicarrier (FBMC) modulation. The S820E portable microwave antenna analyzer, the latest addition to the SiteMaster family, offers increased ease of installation and testing of microwave cables and antennas. Furthermore, the MS2720T handheld spectrum analyzer and S412E with terrestrial trunked radio (TETRA) measurement capability are two of the latest examples of the company’s rugged, field-use-optimized microwave-measurement tools.
