180-Degree Hybrid Couplers Operate from 10 to 40 GHz

KRYTAR's latest 180-Degree Hybrid Couplers deliver 3 dB of coupling over the frequency range of 10.0 to 40.0 GHz in compact packages.

KRYTAR released two ULTRA+ 180-Degree Hybrid Couplers, delivering 3 dB of coupling over the 10.0- to 40.0-GHz frequency range. The compact Model ULTRA4100400 and Model ULTRA4100400K deliver broadband versatility in the X- though Ka-bands with excellent phase and amplitude matching. Features include an amplitude imbalance of ±0.9 dB, a phase imbalance of ±8 degrees, an isolation of greater than 15 dB, a maximum VSWR of 1.65, and an insertion loss of less than 1.5 dB.

Performing functions that include splitting and combining signals in amplifiers, switching circuits, and antenna beamforming networks, both the Model ULTRA4100400 and Model ULTRA4100400K offer an input power rating of 20 W average and 3 kW peak. The ULTRA4100400 comes with industry-standard 2.4-mm female connectors, while the ULTRA4100400K has industry-standard 2.9-mm (K) female connectors.

The packages measure 1.10 x 0.86 x 0.50 in., and weigh 1.2 oz. Operating temperature ranges from –54 to 85°C. The couplers can be also be manufactured to meet military specifications. Furthermore, KRYTAR offers engineering services for custom designs that meet or exceed critical performance and/or packaging specifications.
