Model PLS-17000-P100I is a phase-locked oscillator (PLO) from Phase Matrix that works with an internal 100-MHz oven-controlled crystal oscillator reference to produce low-phase-noise 17-GHz output signals. It is based on a low-noise silicon bipolar transistor, frequency doubler, and buffer amplifier to produce the final output frequency. The source yields at least +13 dBm output power into a 50-Ω load. The phase noise is better than -110 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz and 100 kHz from the carrier. The oscillator is supplied in a compact 2.25 x 2.25 x 0.92 in. package with coaxial connectors. The company also supplied PLOs at frequencies to 50 GHz and power levels to +30 dBm (1 W). These products are designed for use in commercial as well as high-reliability military applications.
