Merrimac Industries has leveraged its proprietary Mult-Mix(R) multilayer circuit-board technology into the design of a high-performance 42-GHz bandpass filter. Model FBMM-42.0G offers a passband of 3 GHz with typical passband insertion loss of 3.5 dB. The typical input/output return loss is 15 dB. Rejection is at least 60 dB at 38.5 GHz and at least 30 dB at 46 GHz. The filter, which measures just 0.620 x 0.296 x 0.020 inches and weighs only 0.2 g, can handle input power levels to typically 1 W.
