Hittite Microwave has developed a 50-ohm MMIC amplifier for applications from 3.5 to 7.0 GHz. Suitable for use as an LO buffer and in military and space applications, the model HMC392LC4 GaAs MMIC low-noise amplifier (LNA) features 2.5 dB noise figure and 16 dB gain across the frequency range, with a third-order intercept point of +30 dBm. It is housed in a 4 x 4 mm leadless ceramic surface-mount-technology (SMT) package and operates from a +5-VDC supply.
