Among numerous product announcements at this week's MTT-S, Times Microwave Systems showed additions to its SilverLine QMA family of test cables and adapters and lines of LMR bundled cables especially designed for use in smart-antenna installations and multiple-input- multiple-output (MIMO) communications systems. In addition, the firm introduced a series of Size 8 coaxial contact designs that fit standard MIL-C-38999 connector shells and are usable from DC to 26.5 GHz. The unique contacts eliminate the need for contact removal tools, requiring an operator only to push down on an integrated removal tool in the back of the contact and sliding it out.
