Counterfeit and gray market electronics can cause major problems for anyone trying to build an electronic product from smartphones to industrial IoT (IIoT) sensors and controllers. These parts can range from complete fakes to those that don't meet specifications, such as a consumer-grade part destined for aircraft electronics.
