PIN Diode Switch Controls 4 GHz

April 28, 2014
A compact SPDT PIN diode switch operates to 4 GHz with low loss and high-power-handling capability.

Capable of handling signals from 0.9 to 4.0 GHz, model SKY12215-478LF is a PIN diode single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch suitable for transmit and receive switching in a variety of wireless systems. It combines typical low insertion loss of 0.4 dB with high power-handling capability to 125 W CW. Supplied in a miniature (4 × 4 mm) lead-free package, the switch achieves high antenna-to-receiver isolation of 43 dB at 2.6 GHz. With an operating temperature range of -55 to +175°C, the switch is suitable for both commercial and military applications.
