The Model SKY78021 SkyOne hybrid front-end module (FEM) serves numerous cellular communications bands and operating modes with transmit and receive functions for use in multiband wireless handsets. It includes features for 2.5G, 3G, and 4G cellular applications and consists of several different power-amplifier (PA) blocks, including for Global System for Mobile (GSM) Communications, Digital Cellular Service (DCS), wideband-code-division-multiple-access (WCDMA), and Long Term Evolution (LTE) systems, a logic-control block for multiple power-control levels, and band-enable functions for both cellular and UMTS use. In addition, the SKY78021 includes a receiver section with switching, duplexers, and integrated filters. The FEM is fabricated with InGaP/GaAs die and passive components mounted on a multilayer circuit laminate and housed in a compact 8 × 9 × 0.9-mm, 60-pad package.
