Model PHS 3000 is a Universal Serial Bus (USB) -controlled high-performance frequency synthesizer from newcomer Pronghorn Solutions LLC. It tunes from 150 MHz to 9 GHz with output levels of better than +10 dBm through 6 GHz and switching speed of better than 500 μs. It achieves excellent spectral purity, with phase noise of -92 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from a 2.5-GHz carrier and -110 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the same.

A battery option provides up to 4 hours of operating time, and allows the instrument to be fully recharged within only 30 minutes. For those needing less bandwidth, versions of the PHS 3000 synthesizer are available for subsets of the 150-MHz-to-9-GHz range. All PHS 3000 synthesizer models weigh around 2 lbs. (0.91 kg).
