Model ZRO2460B1LF is a surface-mount voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) from Z-Communications that provides low-noise operation from 2435 to 2485 MHz. It tunes across the frequency range with control voltage of 1 to 10 V, with typical phase noise of -113 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier. The average tuning sensitivity is 8 MHz/V. Ideally suited for microwave backhaul radio applications, the VCO delivers +6 dBm typical output power into a 50-Ohm load and draws only 30 mA from a +8-VDC supply. Frequency pushing is less than 0.7 MHz/V with a 5-percent change in supply voltage and pulling is less than 0.7 MHz with a 14-dB return loss, any phase. It is supplied in a MINI-16-SM surface-mount package measuring 0.50 in. x 0.50 in. x 0.22 in. and is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements.
