The US-based Timing Products Division of Epson Toyocom Corp. has announced a line of surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) resonator oscillators for high-frequency, low-phase-noise, low-jitter applications. The firm's EG-4101/4121CA sources can be specified from 100 to 700 MHz using a unique and patented quartz SAW cut, with unmatched frequency-temperature stability, best-in-class phase-noise performance, and absence of frequency jumping. The proprietary SAW oscillators feature frequency tolerance of 50 x 10-6 at operating temperatures from -40 to +85C and support multiple output load conditions, such as differential LV-PECL, LVDS, HCSL. The oscillators, which are only 1.2-mm thick, operate on voltages of +2.5 and +3.3 VDC.
