McLean Takes Reins At Ozmo Devices
BILL MCLEAN has joined Ozmo Devices as Chief Executive Officer. McLean was Co-founder and CEO of GloNav, a fabless semiconductor company that manufactured GPS receivers for the cellular market. He sold that company to NXP (part of ST Ericsson) for $110 million in 2008. Formerly, McLean was President and CEO of Anadigm, a fabless-semiconductor company producing field-programmable analog arrays (FPAAs). Additionally, he has served as President, US Operations of Parthus Technologies. He joined Parthus from Authentec, a biometrics firm that he assisted in spinning out from Harris Corp., where he was Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

Aeroflex/MetelicsTIM EMERY has been appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the firm's operations in Sunnyvale, CA, Londonderry, NH, and Lawrence, MA. Emery formerly was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for M/A-COM.

Exalt CommunicationsFRED CORSENTINO has been named Senior Vice President, North America Sales. Corsentino has 30 years of experience with high-technology companies in the wireless and networking industries. Prior to Exalt, he was the President of Saturn Ventures.

Interop TechnologiesJOS ANTONIO (TONY) MIJARES has been appointed to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of International Sales. He has more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications. At Interop, he will focus on business development in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) and Asia regions. Mijares comes to Interop from Airvana, where he served six years as Vice President of CALA sales.

AWRSHERRY HESS, the firm's Vice President of Marketing, has launched her blog on the AWR web site. The AWR blog is designed to provoke discussion of industry issues and trends and provide a forum for sharing tips to maximize productivity using RF and microwave design software.

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Advanced Technology Center (ATC) DR. ALAN M. TITLE, a physicist and Principal Investigator responsible for the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly on the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), which was launched on February 11, has been inducted into the Silicon Valley Engineering Hall of Fame. Title studies the sun with primary research in the generation, distribution, and effects of the solar magnetic field throughout the sun's interior and outer atmosphere. He led the development of tunable bandpass filters for space-based solar observationsa version of which is currently operating on the JAXA/ISAS Hinode spacecraft.
