This year marks the 47th year for the Annual Association of Old Crows (AOC) International Symposium and Convention. At this event, EW and IO community leaders can learn new strategies, discover innovative solutions, and share best practices. More than 1300 attendees from government, military, industry, and academia are expected to take part in more than 40 education presentations, panel discussions, general sessions, and the exhibition.

Exhibitors range from the large defense contractors like Boeing, BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon to many of the test equipment suppliers and component makers found at the annual International Microwave Symposium (IMS). AOC allows microwave companies to target designers of defense applications. As such, this event has become known for its excellent networking potential.

Education also is a priority at the AOC show. This year's Professional Development Courses cover topics like Fundamental Principles of Electronic Warfare and Cyber Warfare. "Electro- Optics & Infrared (EO/IR) Fundamentals for EW Engineers and Managers" covers the basics of electro-optical and infrared system design, operation, and performance. It also discusses new developments in laser-based closed-loop DIRCM systems and operational performance concepts. An exception to the more standard fare is "Now Media: Engagement Based on Information Not Platforms." While the emphasis of this one-day training event is on national security, knowledge from the course can be easily applied to other areas.

Valuable symposium sessions cover topics like Emerging International Technologies, National Agencies' Requirements, and US Military EW Capability Development. For those individuals who cannot attend this year's AOC, the association is planning to produce a virtual event based on content captured on site during the physical show. This virtual event will come complete with a Lobby, Networking Lounge, Auditorium, Chat Capability, and an Expo Hall that attendees can visit from the comfort of their home or office.
