Four new GaAs pHEMT/HEMT MMIC low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) from Hittite Microwave cover bands from 1 to 36 GHz for applications in high-frequency radios, sensors, and instrumentation. Models HMC263LP4E and HMC566LP4E are GaAs pHEMT LNAs designed for use from 24 to 36 GHz and 28 to 36 GHz, respectively, with noise figures as low as 2.2 dB. They provide as much as 21 dB small-signal gain with output third-order intercept of +24 dBm from a single supply of +3.0 or +5.0 VDC. Model HMC753LP4E is a GaAs HEMT MMIC LNA which operates from 1 to 11 GHz, with as much as 16.5 dB small signal gain, 1.5 dB noise figure, and as much as +18 dBm output power at 1-dB compression. Model HMC-C059 is a GaAs MMIC pHEMT low-noise distributed amplifier that operates between 1 and 12 GHz, and is housed in a miniature, hermetic module with replaceable SMA connectors. The HMC-C059 features 1.8 dB noise figure, 16 dB small-signal gain, and as much as +17 dBm output power at 1-dB compression.
