Wireless markets have yielded little excitement in recent years, due largely to the slowdown in cellular infrastructure sales and the "commoditization" of products for wireless-local-area-network (WLAN) systems. Still, the curious came this past month (March 8-10) for the 12th running of the annual Wireless Systems Design Conference & Expo, held for the first time in San Diego, CA. Jack Browne, Technical Contributor, has worked in technical publishing for over 30 years. He managed the content and production of three technical journals while at the American Institute of Physics, including Medical Physics and the Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology.
