A line of temperature variable attenuators from EMC Technology has been optimized for use from DC to 20 GHz. The WTVA attenuators make use of the company's patented Thermopad technology for optimal temperature coefficients of attenuation (TCA) from 12.4 to 20.0 GHz. They measure only 0.070 x 0.060 in. (1.76 x 1.62 mm) and are available in a RoHS compliant solder finish with dB values from 2 to 6 dB and negative coefficients slopes from 0.003 to 0.006. They can also be supplied as custom versions specific to the frequency band and temperature slope characteristics of an application.
