A series of miniature YIG-tuned oscillators from Micro Lambda Wireless is housed in tiny TO-8 packages for applications from 2 to 8 GHz. Compatible with printed-circuit-board (PCB) mounting, the oscillators are based on permanent magnets and low-noise silicon germanium (SiGe) transistors. The oscillators are supplied in cylindrical packages with 0.675-in. diameter and heights of 0.27, 0.35, or 0.50 in. They deliver +10 dBm typical output power with phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier and -125 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier. For additional information on these tiny YIG oscillators, don't miss the exclusive Cover Feature story in the June 2010 issue of Microwaves & RF.
