Model SSPA 1.71-1.88-69 from Aethercomm is a gallium nitride (GaN) power amplifier designed for applications from 1710 to 1880 MHz. Measuring only 2 x 5 x 1 in., it delivers 40 to 50 percent efficiency in saturation, with typical output power of 70 W at 3-dB compression and 53 to 54 dB gain. It operates from a +28-VDC supply and draws only 30 mA current in standby mode. The rugged amplifier is ideal for commercial and military applications.
