Model ROS-2082-119+ is a surface-mount voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) from Mini-Circuits designed for use with phase-lock-loop (PLL) integrated circuits. It tunes from 170 to 2082 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5 to 5.0 V and tuning sensitivity of typically 110 to 130 MHz/V. The oscillator offers a 3-dB modulation bandwidth of typically 270 MHz around the tuned center frequency. Harmonics are typically -24 dBc while nonharmonic spurious content is typically -90 dBc. The VCO, which typically draws 27 mA from a +5-VDC supply, exhibits phase noise of typically -97 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier and typically -118 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier. The oscillator is supplied in a surface-mount housing measuring 0.5 x 0.5 in.
