Several YIG-tuned products have been announced by Raditek as more compact replacements for the company's earlier YIG products, now supplied in a 1 x 1 in. package that is only 20 mm high. The new products include a pair of YIG oscillators that tune from 3.8 to 7.0 GHz and from 3.95 to 9.00 GHz with at least +13 dBm output power and spurious products controlled to -70 dBc or better. The oscillators feature +/-0.1-percent tuning linearity and a frequency-modulation (FM) coil with sensitivity of 150 kHz/mA. The oscillators draw typically 100 mA current from a +8.5-VDC voltage supply. The phase noise is around -103 to -105 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier.
