Perhaps best known for its test equipment, Rohde & Schwarz has introduced its first family of broadband amplifiers. The firm's R&S BBA100 line of amplifiers features a modular design that allows specifiers to match amplifier performance to their requirements. Ideal for test applications, including electromagnetic-compatibility (EMC) testing, the amplifiers cover 9 kHz to 1 GHz with as much as 500 W output power. The amplifiers feature an integrated system controller for monitoring and operating the units. The R&S BBA100 can be operated via a fully graphics-capable color display that shows the status of the amplifier system in detail and makes navigation intuitive. As an alternative, a web GUI allows the amplifier to be controlled from a PC or laptop with a web browser. Various remote-control interfaces allow integration of the R&S BBA100 into automated lab and test environments.
