Capacitor specialist AVX Corporation has made major enhancements to its free SpiTan software for simulation and modeling of tantalum capacitors. The new software tool includes new features such as the effects of temperature and voltage on DCL leakage current and equivalent circuits of capacitors with parameter values. Designated SpiTan III, the software is available for free download from the company's web site.
