SAN DIEGO, CA—QUALCOMM, Inc., a developer of wireless technologies and mobile data solutions, and MLB Advanced Media, LP (MLBAM), the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, have announced an agreement to leverage QUALCOMM's BREW®BrandXtend Signature Solution customer and will use it to offer baseball fans new access channels for the discovery and delivery of compelling mobile content offered exclusively by MLB.com. The solution will enable baseball fans to browse, purchase, and download wireless, interactive content from MLB.com and individual team sites, directly to their mobile phones. MLBAM and QUALCOMM will announce specifics of the service to be launched under this agreement at a later date.

"The mobile content industry has found at a crossroads, one in which the ever-increasing amount of available applications and services has made it challenging to get the right content in the hands of the right subscribers," says Brian Dunphy, senior director and head of brand and affinity relations for QUALCOMM Internet Services. "BREW BrandXtend aims to meet this challenge, and we applaud MLB.com in taking a significant step toward bringing its branded mobile content directly to its fans. By working with recognized brands such as MLB.com to extend the reach of their content to target audiences through new discovery avenues, QUALCOMM is helping brands and operators to benefit from the growing demand for advanced mobile content."

QUALCOMM's comprehensive and targeted BREW Signature Solutions offer reduced time to market and lower capital investment for companies providing mobile products and services. Customers also can benefit from several modular BREW offerings, including uOne™, deliveryOne™, and QPoint™, which provide the foundation for customer-differentiated wireless data capabilities.
