Hittite Microwave Corp. has introduced a trio of GaAs MMIC frequency multipliers for bands from 8 to 90 GHz. Model HMC695LP4E is an active X4 surface-mount frequency multiplier that operates from 11.4 to 13.2 GHz. It draws about 60 mA from a +5-VDC supply and delivers +7 dBm output power with -25 dBc harmonics. Its phase noise is -140 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier. Model HMC-C056 is a X2 frequency multiplier module with connectors that works from 8 to 21 GHz. It yields +14 dBm output power with a +6-dBm input level and has phase noise of -142 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier. Model HMC-XTB110 is a passive X3 frequency multiplier chip that provides coverage from 72 to 90 GHz. It replaces the firm's model HMC-XTB106.
