Agilent Technologies has developed a testing solution for WiMAX system developers based on the Agilent N8300A Wireless Networking Test Set. The firm's N7300 series chipset software, which is based on the Sequans SQN1130 chipset for WiMAX mobile stations, provides control, calibration and test of WiMAX devices and modules. The N7300 series chipset software provides quick and easy optimization of WiMAX device testing, plus a simple and reliable setup for fast, accurate and repeatable measurements.

The Agilent N8300A is a one-box RF parametric test set for manufacturing and design engineers. It is based on a vector signal analyzer and vector signal generator and includes a graphical user interface (GUI) SCPI interface, and is consistent with standard WiMAX test tools. The company has also announced a wireless local area network (WLAN) measurement application for the N8300A. The WLAN application is designed to ensure fast and accurate analysis of IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g WLAN signals.
