Offered its support to Rep. Peter King (R-NY) for introducing H.R. 607, Broadband for First Responders Act of 2011. It allocates 700 MHz of D block spectrum to public safety for the creation of a broadband, interoperable emergency-response network.
Alvarion
Announced that the Breeze-MAX Extreme 3650 WiMAX solution has been deployed by PPL Electric Utilities as part of its smart-grid communications network. The upgrade, which was enabled by a grant from the US Department of Energy, constitutes the first phase of PPL's smart-grid project. It will cover more than 60,000 customers over 150 square miles in the company's Harrisburg, PA operating region.
Ceragon Networks
Entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Nera Networks AS, which is headquartered in Bergen, Norway, from Eltek ASA. The consideration for the acquisition is approximately $48.5 million on a cash-free/debt-free basis.

Announced that its calibration laboratory in Nagoya, Japan has gained initial accreditation to the international ISO/IEC 17025 standard by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). Teseq Japan is the sixth of the company's seven worldwide facilities that calibrate EMC equipment to achieve this accreditation.

Signed an agreement with CapeSym that names AWR as the global and exclusive reseller of CapeSym's SYMMIC software package for the thermal analysis of microwave integrated circuits (MMICs). Marketed as AWR Connected for CapeSym SYMMIC, the product offering allows high-power RF designers to perform thermal analysis on MMICs designed within AWR's Microwave Office software.
ArrayComm and CEVA
Demonstrated ArrayComm's BasePort TD-LTE base station physical layer (PHY) running on CEVA digital-signal-processing (DSP) cores. The demonstration was implemented on Mindspeed's Transcede 4000 system-on-a-chip (SoC) and verified by a Tier-1 operator. The demonstration highlighted channel bandwidths to 20 MHz and user data rates to 64 QAM on two antennas.
