Although Las Vegas is best known as a haven for gambling, dining, and family entertainment, it is also the site of more than a few trade shows. Among these is the upcoming IPC APEX EXPO event, to be held April 12-14 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Convention Center.

This show is one of the electronics industry's premiere events for printed-circuit-board (PCB) design, manufacturing, and testing. And one of the featured exhibitors will be Rogers Corporation, displaying materials for RF as well as digital applications including their halogen-free Theta materials, RT/duroid 6035HTC laminates with excellent thermal properties, and XT/duroid 8000 and 8100 laminates for multilayer designs.

The firm's well known author, John Coonrod, will also make a technical presentation, "Understanding When to Use FR-4 Laminates or High Frequency Laminates," at the event. Incidentally, Coonrod will also be contributing an article on choosing laminates for thermal design in the upcoming May issue of Microwaves & RF.
