Chamberless Solution Targets 60-GHz Radar and Sensor Test
A chamberless production testing solution for 60-GHz radar and sensor products from Anritsu and CANDOX Systems confirmed that production testing can be performed without requiring large anechoic chambers. To ensure correlation with certification measurement results under Japan's Radio Act, measurements were conducted at the laboratory of TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd., an independent third-party certification body.
The evaluation used Anritsu’s millimeter-wave measurement solution based on its signal analyzer, along with CANDOX Systems’ 60-GHz near-field probe. The difference data was obtained by comparing the far-field measurement results used in the certification test methods per Japan’s Radio Act with measurement results acquired using the near-field probe.
By applying this difference data, the evaluation confirmed that chamberless near-field measurements can ensure correlation with certification measurement results. Furthermore, they're applicable to production testing in a compact measurement environment without requiring large anechoic chambers.
