API Showcases Millimeter-Wave Solutions for High-Rel Apps

Oct. 3, 2014
API Technologies latest Night Vision Device (NVD) uses near infrared (NIR) to provide calibration.

Among the military, medical, and industrial solutions on display at European Microwave Week will be synthesizers, small signal amplifiers, power amplifiers, antennas, switches, and rotary joints developed by API Technologies. The company will also exhibit space solutions such as radiation-tolerant power-management products, surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) oscillators, and microelectronic assemblies for satellites and launch vehicles. For instance, its new Night Vision Device (NVD) test set helps military personnel determine the functional quality of standard Gen 2 and Gen 3 night-vision devices. The NVD provides a near-infrared (NIR), uniformly illuminated target within the unit that indicates if the user’s night-vision device is out of calibration or not performing accurately.
