Click Board Delivers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE Connectivity to IoT

May 21, 2025
MikroE's Click Board leverages a Würth radio module for low-power wireless connectivity between smart devices and the cloud.

With an integrated Stephano-I (2617011025000) Würth radio module for low-power wireless connectivity between smart devices and the cloud, the Stephano-I Click Board from MikroE can add Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) connectivity to any embedded application.

The latest member of the company's 1,800-strong mikroBUS-enabled Click Board family, the Stephano-I module supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi in the 2.4-GHz band and Bluetooth LE 5 in both peripheral and central roles. In addition, there's dual radio support and an AT command interface over UART with a 1-Mb/s data rate, Wi-Fi output power up to 13.4 dBm, and Bluetooth LE output power up to 4.5 dBm.

The Click Board offers standard UART communication pins, hardware flow control, reset and wake-up options, and additional unpopulated debug and boot control pins for advanced functionality.

Compatible with the mikroBUS socket, the Stephano-I Click can be used on any host system supporting the mikroBUS standard. It comes with mikroSDK open-source libraries for evaluation and customization. The board also features the ClickID function, which enables the host system to automatically detect and identify it.
