RF Amplifier Module Targets Military and Defense Apps
Engineered for robust performance in demanding military and defense applications, Empower RF Systems' recently released Model 1211 C-UAS RF amplifier operates across a 500- to 2500-MHz frequency range.
The amplifier, delivering a minimum of 100 W of output power while typically providing up to 125 W, has an efficient class AB GaN-on SiC design. It supports CW, AM, FM, and pulse signals while maintaining high reliability, low harmonics, and ruggedness under extreme conditions.
For complete 20- to 6000-MHz coverage, the module can be partnered with the company's 1193 and 1212 modules, each with the same form factor as well as a common digital interface. The Model 1211 also features built-in control, performance monitoring, and protection functions such as overtemperature, overvoltage, reverse polarity, and overcurrent safeguards.
Ensuring continuous high availability even in harsh environments, a robust RS-485 serial interface facilitates comprehensive system integration and remote management. The amp's lightweight build and compact form factor (7.0 × 4.0 × 1.1 in. and 1.5 lbs.) make it well-suited for mobile deployment.
