    Triaxis magnetic sensing IC range offers stacked dual-die variants.

    Stray-Field-Robust Magnetic Sensors Serve Vehicle Applications

    Melexis extended its Triaxis magnetic sensing IC range with stacked dual-die variants of the MLX90425 and MLX90426, offering a 5-mT stray-field immunity and 360° rotary detection of the magnet. Supporting safety requirements for steering wheel and accelerator pedal position sensing, they enable a higher level of autonomous driving. The devices offer reliable sensing with built-in redundancy and immunity to stray field effects to guarantee accurate measurements.

    Two variants of the 360° rotary stray-field robust MLX90425 and MLX90426 include a novel dual-die design, combining two ICs in a single TSSOP-16 (SMD) or SMP-4 (PCB-less) package. ASIL C compatible, they enable up to ISO 26262 ASIL D system-level integration, and offer highly accurate operation with a 5-mT stray field immunity. Both products have a programmable linear transfer characteristic with up to 17 points and an operating temperature of -40 to 160°. The MLX90425 has an analog ratiometric or PWM output and the MLX90426 has a digital SENT output.
