Embedded Systems @ Embedded World 2024

Recently the international embedded community met at the Exhibition Center in Nuremberg, Germany. Over 1,100 exhibitors from almost 50 countries came to show their wares and services to over 32,000 visitors from more than 80 countries at the embedded world Exhibition & Conference.

Sessions held along with the co-located electronic displays conference attracted 1,871 participants and speakers from 45 countries. In addition to two startup areas, there were also three exhibitor forums with expert panels, company presentations, and startup pitches.

"The past three days were simply great," said Executive Director Benedikt Weyerer. "We were able to observe thousands of happy faces and in-depth conversations—both on the stands as well as in the packed halls and aisles.

"The resounding response from the well over 32,000 visitors from more than 80 countries emphasizes the significance of embedded world as the key meeting place for the embedded community. I am therefore delighted to pass on the high praise from our customers to my dedicated team, who, as always, worked hard to ensure that everything ran smoothly."

Alix is Editor-at-Large for Microwaves & RF.

An Army veteran, Alix Paultre was a signals intelligence soldier on the East/West German border in the early ‘80s, and eventually wound up helping launch and run a publication on consumer electronics for the U.S. military stationed in Europe. Alix first began in this industry in 1998 at Electronic Products magazine, and since then has worked for a variety of publications, most recently as Editor-in-Chief of Power Systems Design.

Alix currently lives in Wiesbaden, Germany.
