To meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-55365 T-level testing, KEMET Corp. has expanded its CWR 09, 11, 19, and 29 series of tantalum capacitors. These capacitors already meet the standard requirements of MIL-PRF-55365 including surge current options, Weibull grading, and termination options that include gold plating, hot solder dip, solder fused, and solder plating. However, expanded testing under the "T" level includes the following: single date lot code, C-level Weibull grading minimum, C-level surge current, destructive physical analysis (DPA), three-sigma rescreen for equivalent series resistance (ESR), and DC leakage current.

"KEMET has expanded its CWR product lines to fully meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-55365 T-level testing because this enhancement is important to our military and aerospace customers," states Ed Jones, Product Manager-Specialty Products. "This expanded testing demonstrates KEMET's commitment to offering our customers the highest quality and reliability capacitors available," he continues.
