Passive component specialist AVX announced that it has received the Arrow Electronics 2008 Largest Passives Supplier award at the 2009 Electronic Distribution Show (EDS). This is the second consecutive year that AVX has been so recognized by Arrow. According to Stephen Sallas, Business Segment Manager at Arrow, "AVX's expansive product offering and outstanding customer service provides the foundation for continued sales growth and success. We are pleased to honor AVX with the 2008 Largest Passives Supplier award, as it is a reflection of the hard work and achievements from both the AVX and Arrow sales teams." Pete Venuto, Vice President of Sales at AVX, added that "Receiving this award from Arrow for the second consecutive year shows the mutual commitment of our companies to accelerate demand creation, make inventory investments, and fulfill existing and new growth opportunities in the marketplace."
